Abstract

Copper, iron, zinc and manganese were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry on drinkable water. Levels of copper higher than those allowed by law were not found. The concentrations of zinc in the analysed water were according to the same order of human organism demand. Some quantities of iron in higher levels than those considered as normal by law were detected in seven samples of drinkable water. The content of manganese was higher than amounts allowed in seven samples.
