Abstract
It has been evaluated the capacity of the soils as source of aggregate materials so as to the secondary roads construction and development of small building and septic tank, by the interpretation of a soil survey map of the zone of Linares (Jaén), by the FAO scheme called "Soil Survey Interpretation for Engineering Purposes". The considered parameters of the soils in the scheme are usual at the soil survey studies, with the exception of sorne whose determination is relatively simple or may be deduced of the other characteristics. The results of the evaluation are expresed in terms of capacity, good, moderate or bad. The representation of the results have been efectuated joinly to all the purposed uses with the exception of the aptitude as source of aggregate materials due to sorne aspects by which its representation is indefmite.
