Abstract
It has been described a geologic and edaphic synthesis of the province of Jaén (Spain) as well as a location and sampling of the sources with a mineralisation higher than 1500 mg/l. On the other hand, a relation between the materials involved in the hy drological cycle of these sources with their chemical compositions and their therapeutic applications are also accomplished.
