Abstract
We try to show the possíble antiinfiammatory activity of eighty six plant samples which come from Sierra Elvira (Granada, Spain) . The samples we have studied (fiowery apexes and roots) be long mainly to Leguminosae, Labiatae and Cistaceae. The antiinflammatory activity has been evaluated in rats by the carrageenin-induced edema assay. The samples that showed a greater activity were the fiowery apexes of Iberis crenata (Cruciferae), Lavandula latifolia (Labiatae) and Asphodelus albus (Liliaceae).
