Abstract
The activities of hepatic and renal phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, liver glycogen content, renal gluconeogenic capacity and blood glucose and lactate concentrations were determined at several times of the day in rats with free access to food and in rats deprived of food during the experience. The evolution of these biochemical parameters was similar
in both groups of animals and generally agreed with the data obtained by other investigators in similar conditions but at different times of the day.
