We studied the kinetics of the reaction between 125I labelled androstendiona and its specific antibody utilized in the radioimmunoanalytic determination of this substance, finding results that fit a michaeliano modelo The presence of non labelled androstendiona affects the reaction of a competitive mode. We found bi-exponential kinetics that suggest reactions with distinct epitopes. The influence of the temperature indicated a diffusion control. The equilibrium results fit the model of binding of the two ligands on independent sites. We developed theoretical models compatible with the experimental results.
