Teratogenic effects of diabetes. Prevention by antioxidant administration

Abstract

Our results suggest that the administration of antioxidants reducing free radical

production could play an important role in the prevention ot the teratogenic effects

associated to diabetes. The most striking fact is that antioxidants may act regardless de

degree of metabolic control, therefore their effects are additive to those resulting from

a better metabolic control.
