Gender Equality Policy

Theory Now declares its commitment to gender equality through the following practices:

Editorial participation:

Theory Now will take steps to ensure a minimum of 50% women in the composition of its various editorial boards (including its directors, editors, editorial secretaries, and editorial committee), as well as among the reviewers who evaluate our publications.

Use of inclusive language:

Theory Now recommends the use of inclusive language in all proposed scientific articles. To achieve this goal, it urges writers to avoid the use of the generic masculine and to consult the following guidelines for non-sexist language use.

Gender equality in research:

Theory Now will especially value those papers that take gender into account in order to allow the identification of possible differences, as well as those papers whose contents, objectives, and methodology promote critical analysis of gender relations.
