Abstract

Gonzalo Carrasco reflected at La glorificación de la Sagrada Familia the expeditious execution of the coveted ideal, face acute dilemmas between the secular world and catholicism. Through the encrypted messages in this work, the jesuit painter orchestrated a plea for the preservation of a predetermined order, which Christ and his Church would continue as rulers of heaven and earth.
