Historic dissemination in social media. The BNE and El Ministerio del Tiempo

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study on one hand the use and the strategy of the National Library of Spain (BNE), institution that collects and preserves the Spanish bibliographic heritage, in the dissemination of its catalog through social networks, and, on other hand, the possibilities that transmedia storytelling offer for media literacy. To this end, we analyse the work of the official Twitter account of the National Library of Spain on the Spanish fiction series El Ministerio del Tiempo, as well as the strategies for creating a community of followers around the universe of fiction represented by this series.
