Abstract

This paper is an historical and bibliographical study looking at the work done in Spain on the manuscripts of Dead Sea. The author gives a detailed bibliographical study listing all of the published works in Spain or in the Spanish idiom about the Qumran texts since their initial discovery until now. This paper endeavours to demonstrate the contribution, on the part of Spanish biblical scholars and philologists to this area of study and research. Also its presents the most important moments that these documents have lived through in the last fifty years and their repercussions in the cultural world and the world of research.
