Abstract

The study of natural disasters that affected towns and villages tries to know a little better the working of these centres in moments so dramatic. The 1531 Baza earthquake is the background of an study on the urban structure of this town and the effects the earthquake caused, from protection and emergency measures to the types of buildings affected; we also consider the different documents that contain these informations. Earthquakes also can provide us sorne data that others scientists can treat and use in order to determine seismic risk factors and the recurrence of destructive earthquakes.
