Abstract

Provides a literary overview of an Andalusian adab work of the late fourteenth century, Abū Bakr Ibn 'Āim's Hadā’iq al-azāhir; widely known but not studied at length so far, its interest lies in the fact that it’s one of the last outputs of the Arab belles lettres in al-Andalus, as well as an unique example within this literature of an adab work devoted entirely to humor.
