Abstract

The communal life in the visigothic monasteries is organized according to ideological conceptions whose explanation is not based just on the socio-economical context. The monasticism in the late Antiquity constitutes an ascetic koiné in the Mediterranean Sea. In these pages make this fact clear through the study of the monastic regulation of Leander in relation to the food.
