Abstract

We analyse the state of the art of the research on the Latin epigraphy of Early Roman chronology coming from the ancient city of Suel which was located in Cerro del Castillo in Fuengirola (Málaga), as well as from some of the villas of its ager. At the same time we bring to light a new fragment of epigraphy with a similar dating found in the villa of Finca del Secretario, which remains in a particular collection and was made of marble from Sierra de Mijas as the other well-known remains in the suelitano group, being the first piece of these characteristics documented in the above mentioned site.
