Abstract

As it is known, in spite of being a quite early production, the Spanish version of the novel of Apollonius is fond of themes borrowed from the Classical Tradition, as shown by the most recent research. As its main source scholars use to point to the Homeric Odyssey, and secondly to the novel. This paper revisites the question and focuses on the genres and texts that were more significant in this reception.
