Abstract

Our direct knowledge of Roman attitudes in the Republic about the problem between Mithridates VI Eupator and Sertorius have been manipulated by the decimononic historiography. That is not only a political question but an example of the foreing relations in the Roman World. The chronology of this treaty, the consequences and the purpose are, today, still discussed.
