Abstract

The debate of the concept of tyranny has been firmly stablished for a long time: the image of the tyran that emerges from literary sources is not without a bias. Platon faces the problems posited by tyranny in traditional terms (anormality, the tyran as a figure appointed by god), an confront them with his political and psychological analysis: the result is a new tyran, conceived of, as a political agent, ruling and regulating over the social and political issues and becoming a humanizaed figure.
