Abstract

Literary texts, mainly the agustinian production, together with epigraphic documents, testify the cult to Vicente de Zaragoza in the North of Africa. The frrst enes are referred to the celebration of dies natalis, whereas the epigraphic documents are concemed abo ve all with the worship of relics. This cult, documented from early times, was extended into the region. Consequently, Mediterranean world maintained a cultural unity in spite of political affairs; facts as the cult of martyrs and particularly that to Vicente, obviously with regional peculiarities, demonstrate the temporal and spatial Mediterranean continuity.
