Algunos sonetos sobre Píramo y Tisbe

Abstract

The sonnets deal with the violent death of Pyramus and Thisbe. Sorne poets use the myth in order to show in them love's inmortality, a classical topic afien glossed by many writers of the time. A slight support on Ovid's text invites the readers to reflect about Fortune's whim, the strength of !ove, and death as a goal of human life. Classicism and Barroque go hand in hand because the sonnets two centuries.
