Abstract

This paper seeks to clarify insofar as possible how worked the system of supplies dedicated to the Roman army of the Principate, what officials were involved and which could be their parcels and performance rules. W e try therefore to present a model from the advances reached by research in the last decades, a quite fruitful period in this parcel of economic and military history of the Roman Empire.
