Abstract

The high number of coins that have been found in the surroundings of the Punic Phoenician and Roman site of Cerro del Mar increases the value of this settlement as a possible trading center with different towns located in Málaga and other locations in the Hispanic insular and interior region between the third century b.C and the second century a.C.
