«Em tempo antigo, longe, em terra estranha». Tratamiento mítico y creación poética en la Cançao do Encantamento, de Francisco Sá de Miranda

Abstract

The present article shows a study of the Cançao do Encantamento, by Francisco Sá de Miranda (1495-1558), which pays special attention to its literary subject matter, specially attached to the Psyche and Cupid's myth. The Apulegio volgare by Mateo Maria Boiardo (1440/1-1494) is also taken into acccount as the poet's source of inspiration in the same way that several related artistic parallels, and at the same time, with some European versions on the referred legend. Such testimonials contextualize, after all, the writing process intended by Sá de Miranda.
