Abstract
This proposal analyzes the possibility of including African art in the curriculum of the subject of plastic and visual education, revised from the Spanish educational law, to generate acceptance and recognition of black African artistic manifestations, encouraging the practice of postcolonial reflections and raising interculturality as an essential part of our society. This visibility of African art in the field of education must be progressively articulated in the didactic programmes in order to foster understanding of our changing and conflicting reality in terms of the clash of cultures.
