Abstract

The integration and harmony of all the components of the educational act (teacher-student-classroom) are necessary for the teaching- learning process to have the greatest chance of success. For this reason we are seeing the emergence of a multitude of resources and tools which aim to improve co-existence in the classroom and the transmission of values such as respect, tolerance, and communication. As flamenco is one of the socio- cultural folk arts which was born of the influences of different peoples, its presence in the classroom can be an effective and productive tool. Multimedia and the new technologies can be a vehicle between flamenco and the students, who are familiar with them. The combination of both resources (flamenco and multimedia) will enhance basic educational competences required in the curriculum, such as information processing and digital competence, as well as social competence and citizenship. This paper provides different guidelines and teaching proposals to promote especially social integration in the classroom through flamenco and multimedia, and assesses their real possibilities and their educational applications.
