Abstract
This article is trying to raise awareness about the figure of Antonio Caballero who, born in Cordoba and after having passed the relevant competitions, served as Master of the Music in the Royal Chapel of Grenada from 1757 to 1822, with Real Appointment signed by D. Íñigo de Torres y Oliverio, Secretary of the Royal House at the time of Ferdinand VI.
His activity as chapel master and composer extends for the entire second half of the XVIII century and almost the first quarter of the nineteenth century, always in the same institution grenadine. This paper is structured into three main principal parts: historic approximation to the era of Antonio Caballero, functions and salaries and Headings and Index.
