Women, Education and Conservatory: a life story

Abstract
The present paper studies about the social, labour and educational career path of one of the professors of the High Conservatoire of Madrid, in the speciality of Solfeggio and Music Theory. So, it is tried (a) to discern, the relations among woman, education and conservatoire and (b) to delve, across an specific case, into the history of the ruled training in Spain during the last century. The particularity of the individual object to study falls on the fact that it has been, until 2012, the only female director of the above mentioned centre. Thus, to get the planned goals, it has been used the statement of life, and as instruments and techniques of data collection, there has been used in-depth interview and analysis of documents. The results aim that the informant is a female role model so much from a professional and educational context as from one-person management contexts.
