Abstract

Auditions, competitions, or different modalities of public performance usually generate anxiety. Although there is research focused on the study of stage fright in musicians of different levels, there is still little research focused on presenting intervention programs to reduce music performance anxiety. The main objective of this article is to present a pilot intervention program to work on music performance anxiety carried out in 2022 with students of the Professional Conservatory of Music Juan Vázquez (Badajoz). The intervention program consisted of two differentiated spaces: the individualized counseling space and the group workshop. The results obtained show the need to generate times and spaces for emotional work within musical training.
