Abstract

This article presents results of a research carried out in collaboration with students of the Bachelor of Music at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (LM-UAA), joined to the project “Academic actions in the present history of the Music Department of the UAA”. One of the actions is the Orquesta Filarmónica de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (OFUAA), founded in 2010 by Professor Julio Vázquez Valls who, until August 2022, was its director. Through a qualitative approach, from the historical perspective of the present time, the origin and trajectory of this university orchestra was documented to understand its curricular value. In this first record of the life of OFUAA, the main achievements and appreciation of its protagonists are recognized, who enhance teamwork as a core aspect in the success of academic actions.
