Abstract

This qualitative research aims to understand how the shared leadership of a school center's management influences the process of change and improvement in learning. Through a case study, the aim is to identify and understand the processes of school transformation necessary to generate change and educational innovation. With this methodology it is analyzed the model of leadership initiated by the management team to boast methodological changes promoting significant learning in the students, and exploring the work of teachers, the organization and the methodologies implemented in classroom. The main results show how the school management leads and energizes the work of the teaching staff, enabling systemic educational change to take place with the participation and involvement of the entire educational community. Therefore, the educational vision of the management team, the teachers’ commitment and the families’ collaboration are key in the transformation initiated in the school.
