Abstract

The article contains the result of a descriptive study of the affective experiences and appreciations that support the socially significant influence of the Batalla de las Guásimas School in the subjectivity of its 1972-1976 teachers and students. The study relied on techniques such as non-structured participant observation, survey, interview, and testimony of individual experiences. The information was processed by means of content analysis: list of items, grouping and coding, and identification of links and connotations. The study corroborates the relevance of this school in the life experience of the studied population. The notions of consecration, commitment and preparation for life and the qualifications wonderful, beautiful, and unforgettable, confirm the positive affective experiences.
