La lingüística rusa y la caucasología

Abstract

In this article is analyzed the contribution of the Russian linguistics to the study of the Caucasian languages. Many Caucassian languages had their first scientifical descriptions, grammars and dictionaries thanks to the Russian linguists who have also been responsible for the preparation of the national specialists in these languages. Nowadays linguists from all over the world study the works of their Russian colleagues, who put the basis of the causasology and whose contribution is necessary to understand this branch of linguistics.
