Abstract

Meanwhile the craft industry, the trade and the renta de la seda of the Kingdom of Granada were recovering with certain quickness after the moorish rising of 1568- 1570, the silk production was in a long crisis from which started to get out at the beginning of the 17th century. The present work analyses the situation of the silk production during the transit from the 16th century to the 17th, the measures adopted for its recuperation and the natural and human causes that motivated the crisis and the later stagnation.
