Abstract

This article deals with the representation of women as peace makers in domestic spaces in Renaissance literature. Several, authors such as: Fray Luis de León, Luis Vives or Antonio de Guevara, from different positions, agreed with the idea that women should be silent and stay at home, justifying their reasoning in their “nature”.
