Abstract

In accordance with the line of investigation in that we worked at the moment, the graphic expression of the Space-Power relation, the analyse and interpretation of images that compose documentary corpus –sketches for the Diccionario Geográfi co of Tomás López- will be the key to understand the controversial mechanisms of perception space. These documents, by means of built the framework for outlines of colour and of line draw messages to us about the space lived by the rural society of Málaga in century XVIII. The basic parameters of the cartographic representation become blurred to give way to lines that express the familiarity of the contours, the tension of how you limit them, the framework of relations of being able, the hostility of the relief, the generosity of the fl uvial course or the intentions of the forms that in their out of proportion, abstraction or realism, materialize perceptions.
