Abstract

The aim of this article is to discuss a series of notarial contracts signed by ecclesiastical scribes and notaries in which the supply of various amounts of marble from the famous mines in the Sierra de los Filabres was guaranteed. The purposes for which the marble was required were, according to the documents studied, very diverse and it was in demand ali over the country.
