Abstract

In the middle of the 16th century there was a proposal to build a wall along the right bank of the river Darro, with foundations on the river bed, which was to support the projections of the shops in the Zacatín. The bases of this project, and the conditions governing planning permission wcre laid down by Diego de Siloé, and were later modified by the mayor. These changes led to a lawsuit between the local corporation and the Zacatín merchants.
