Abstract

The Regional Government of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia has recently published the volume devoted to the Province of Granada in the series Country houses and wine and olive es/ates . The architecture of the great Andalusian farmsteads. The volume includes a study of one of the most emblematic buildings in Granada: the estate of Jesús del Valle. The present paper provides a survey of its history and attempts to clarify the evolution of landed property in the town and of the buildings which were included in this property.
