Abstract

This study offers a general overview of the use of ceramics in mudejar architecture in Granada. At the present time, not a great <leal remains, but in the past ceramics were used in ali areas of architecture, in a great variety of forms and using techniques which combined local Nasrite traditions with those brought in by artisans from other parts. A greater knowledge than is at present available will provide useful new information 011 the phenomenon of mudejar art, both generally and specifically in Granada. In addition the ceramics created and the artists who created them deserve serious study in their own right.
