Abstract

The sculptor Andrés de Carvajal (1709-1779) was the most representative figure of a little artistic center in Antequera (Málaga) during the eighteenth century. This paper solves the question about his training in Granada. Thanks to unpublished documents, it can be proved his stay in the workshop of Salvador de Ledesma, disciple of Diego de Mora.
