Abstract

This first study of the Calahorra palace analyzes and classifies the ornamental adornments on a series of doorways, in which the influence of such centres as Lombardy, Venice and Urbino can be seen. This influence is due to the teachings of the widely travelled Lombard maestranze. The historiography of the theme depicted is also reviewed.
