Abstract

In this second part of our study, we conclude our examination of the range of ornamental typologies found in the doorways of La Calahorra Palace. We analyze both those which are in situ and those which are kept in the Palace of the Duke del Infantado in Madrid and in the Fine Arts Museum in Seville. We can see a new influence in sorne of these works: that of Rome- Lombardy in the work of the sculptor Andrea Bregno, closely connected from a typological point of view with Cardinal Mendoza's mausoleum. We can also discern new
figurative borrowings from the Codex Escurialensis.
