Abstract

This paper takes as its starting point the flood in the town of Almería in 1891 which led to important developments in town planning and to work on the substructure. This work, which was finished in 1897, established the limits of the historical city and included the water courses which crossed them. The great importance of these water courses in historical town centres is discussed.
