Aspectos farmacológicos de las anfetaminas

Resumen

El amplio grupo de sustancias que componen los derivados de la estructura fenilisopropilamina se encuentra en unestado de continua renovación debido al auge del consumo y tráfico ilícito de drogas como el éxtasis (MDMA), MDA,STP, DOI, etc... El estudio de su mecanismo de acción implica la participación de neurotransmisores como Dopamina,Serotonina y Catecolaminas, con un complejo comportamiento que da lugar a una difícil interpretación de losmúltiples efectos aparecidos durante su consumo. Así mismo, los derivados anfetamínicos que se conservan en elarsenal terapéutico con fines anorexígenos, presentan todas las propiedades estimulantes de la molécula inicial, conel mismo riesgo implícito que cualquiera de las de tráfico ilegal.
