Nuevas perspectivas en el tratamiento de la diarrea aguda del lactante: racecadotrilo

El propósito del presente trabajo es realizar una puesta al día del tratamiento de la diarrea aguda del lactante, asícomo evaluar la efi cacia del racecadotrilo, un nuevo fármaco antisecretor intestinal, en el tratamiento de la diarreaaguda. Se revisan los datos disponibles en la bibliografía referentes al tratamiento de rehidratación y realimentacióny sobre racecadotrilo, en este último caso tanto en experimentación animal como sobre el tratamiento de adultos yniños afectos de diarrea aguda. Los resultados obtenidos ponen de manifi esto que la administración de racecadotriloen lactantes y niños es segura y bien tolerada y que disminuye la duración y la severidad de la diarrea.Descargas
