Collecting Architecture. 10 Collections of Gustavo Gili Publishing House
Main Article Content
Abstract
Books dealing with architecture are a specific genre within the publishing world. Gustavo Gili put together an exemplary editorial project, in which theory and design created a unitary framework of publications that was established as a working model for this type of essays. Moisés Puente, editor at Gustavo Gili, presents this text as a record of files with the most relevant architecture collections published by GG throughout the second half of the 20th century. The article begins with the series Architecture and criticism and closes with the magazine 2G. A review of authors and designers is presented along with images of the emblematic covers of these books, a study that has been carried out for the first time and that constitutes a valuable historiographic document.
