Abstract

The present text exposes the different formative strategies carried out for the teaching of the production of artist’s books and other publishing projects at the graduate level (master’s degree). In this sense, different projects developed within the Master in Creative Studies and Processes in Art and Design (MEPCAD), attached to the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (Chihuahua, Mexico), and the pedagogical experiences that derive from them are described. Specifically, two cases are presented: Frankenstein: tras el relato de lo monstruoso, experimental edition based on methods of random, collective and collaborative creation and, didactic for the creation of artist books based poetically on the analogical hermeneutics and the methodology of the research based on practice (IBA). Both, teaching-learning strategies that have allowed us to channel several challenges in the same timeline, contributing to the construction of projects that insert young people into the world of contemporary publishing in a holistic manner.
