Abstract
This article addresses the complex and contradictory relationship contemporary, welfare societies have with accidents. Despite their taboo nature, the media overexposes accidents. Enrique Metidines’ work intends to raise awareness regarding the accidents that occur in our everyday lives. The poem “Kill Plato”, by Chantal Maillard, deals with the difficulties we have when it comes to understanding a tragic accident as a Deleuzean event, due to the prevalence of idealism. This article proposes a flexible methodology and a transversal approach to knowledge, where Gilles Deleuze’s rhizomatic thinking is present.
