Dos reglas de hermenéutica targúmica: traducción de topónimos y otros nombres comunes y nueva identificación

Abstract

We study onomastics of the Targumic text: sometimes some toponyms are considered and some other precisions, with which Tg aims to clarify the HT. Onomastics in the Tg uses the following techniques according to the needs: it translates simply the Hebrew name, identifies the names, changes them, looks for new names for persons already known, gives a name to those who are without it, quotes explicit subjects when they are missing or changes the subjects. OT is the most sober, N is more generous, and the TJI is the one more often using this hermeneutic procedure.
