Abstract
From a socio literary point of view we try to analyze the lyrical work of Alexander Penn and his inclusion in a marginal place of the hebrew poetry, performing some reflections about the marginal condition of a writer. We verify that Penn is not a marginal author as those who we find in the french and russian symbolism. We think his marginality is only a self-imposition. This poet fulfils a marginal function that it was necessary to the hebrew society during the years before and after the creation of the Israel State.
